Vintage Kansas Sales Tax 2 mil Token 1937-1939

Description

This is a sales tax token from the state of Kansas that was in use from 1937 to 1939.  This is a 2 mil (2/10 of one cent) token the only denomination used in the state.  Kansas was the first state in the country to discontinue use of sales tax tokens in 1939.  The tokens could be redeemed for cash until
1941 and those were then melted down.
