    Description

Lot Of 10 1930’s-1940’s Colorado Retail Sales Tax Token 2 mil.
Sales Tax Tokens were fractional cent coins used to pay sales tax on small purchases in several American states during the depression era. These tokens were designed and used to keep consumers from overpaying tax tax on small purchases. Depending on the state, they were issued in different multiples in increments of 1 mil or 1/10 cent. These from the state of Colorado were 2 mil, (2/10 cent) tokens.
These 10 are in good condition, they do show signs of use and wear, a couple do show some signs of slight damage.
They are light weight, I think they are probably aluminum.
These are an estate find and are being sold as is as found, I have no other information or history about these items.
This lot of tax tokens are great pieces of American monetary history, perfect for any collection !
