KATANGO 1968 ORIGINAL ITALIAN MOVIE POSTER 26.5"x36" (F/VF-) ULTRA RARE SCI-FI

This is an original, Italian issued movie theater poster, 26.5 x 36, for the 1968 sci-fi monster film "Katango." This movie was original released in Japan in 1966 as "The War Of The Gargantaus," but was not released in Italy until 1968 under the title "Katango."
Note: We have seen many posters for this movie from around the world, including Italy, but have never seen this image before. We believe it was the original Italian poster issued in November 1968, when the film saw limited release in Italy. After its initial limited release, the movie was fairly popular as monster movies were during that era. The film than saw wider distribution and new different design posters were made. Though we can not say with 100% certainty that this is a one of a kind surviving poster, we are positive that it is extremely rare.
This original 1968 Italian movie poster is in very nice condition with some edge, fold seam and handling wear, some center fold seam wear with minor separation, there are edge and corner dings and bends, there are some poster body dings and bends, some spots of poster body and edge crinkles, and some spots of minor border fold seam separation. Overall, this poster is really nice with fantastic images and graphics and bright crisp colors. I would grade this poster a 6-, on a 1 to 10 scale.
