This auction is for two(2) individual 1935 Tax Tokens for one price. A great antique vintage 87 year old piece of history.
1935 New Mexico 1 Mill 5cent School Tax Token  Bureau Of Revenue .
These are identical and have the wording: "1935, New Mexico, Bureau of Revenue, Emergency School Tax On Purchase Of 5 cents, Tax Token, 1 Mill."
They have in the center the numeral "1" on one side and on the reverse a pictorial of an Eagle with wings spread and the latin phrase: Crescit Eundo. Which in latin means: Buy Me Now---just kidding as I "think" it is actually the  state motto for the great state of New Mexico and means something like : "It grows as it goes": meaning the state grows as it advances.
*I purchased as part of a Lot consisting of coins/gold-silver bullion from an antique stores' going-out-of-business sale. I do not know anything else about them other than what pics show. I havnt opened the coin flip so not sure the metal. They present as made from a light material such as aluminum, and likely not silver, platinum, palladium, or rhodium("though i think u should buy them for that reason just in case").
