Minted as legal tender for the Isle of Man in 1981, the coin celebrated the first Englishwoman to marry an heir to the throne for 300 years. It also marked the first time the image of Lady Diana would adorn a coin.
This coin is from the original minting over 41 years ago and is not a re-mint!  Lady Diana and Prince Charles (now King Charles) were married at St Paul's Cathedral in London on July 29th, 1981 in a ceremony that drew a global television and radio audience estimated at around 1,000 million people, and hundreds of thousands of people lining the route from Buckingham Palace to the Cathedral.
Coin is legal tender in the Isle of Man and has Queen Elizabeth II on the reverse.
